What do Kirk Cameron, Jesus Christ, and the Special Olympics have to do with one another?

Clearly Christianity, as with all religions, has been a necessary cog in the machinery of evolution. But it is a crutch that we no longer need. It is time for us to move past this primitive mindset and into a world based on reason and logic.

In order to make this transition, we are going to need interpreters who can translate things into the simplest possible terms so that the masses can properly understand more advanced concepts. Unfortunatly, our society has been fed a diet of fast food and television for so long that any concept we need them to understand is going to have to be broken down into the lowest common denominator.

Which brings me to this video “Faith Is Retarded”. It’s a crude way to put it, but it is something that everyone, even those who refuse to believe it, can at least grasp. I would much rather have an intellectual debate with theist based on facts, logic, and reason; but it is clear to me that the faithful have no interest at all in this. They take pride in ignorance. They consider it a badge of honor, and they honestly believe that the more they believe in fairy tales, the more they will be rewarded for it.

In an ideal world, we could just leave these people be; but the fact that they use their delusions to force a bronze age mythology on the rest of us makes this impossible. These people have given us things like 8 years of George Bush and Prop 8. They deny the mountain of amount of evidence that says we are killing our host planet, and they are actively and gleefully trying to bring about Armageddon so that their messiah can return. Ignoring them is no longer an option.

So what do you do when 5 out of every 6 people on earth are involved in some sort of cult based on primitive fairytales? What do you do when they stick their heads in the sand and ignore the men who have doubled the life expectancy of every single one of them? It seems to me that there is only one peaceful solution…. mocking.

Because no one wants to be on the same side as the laughing stocks. Especially the youth. So I say we mock and ridicule them mercilessly. We expose them for the laughable dullards they are at every turn. And then we invite their children to the cool kids party. It may take a generation or two, but eventually those that refuse to evolve will become extinct, and the curse of faith will finally be broken.

This is my answer.

As far as praying and feeling better, what about all the times you prayed and didn’t feel better? What about all the times you felt great and didn’t pray at all? The human mind is a pattern seeking computer, and we often find patterns where they do not exist.

The human mind also releases chemicals at times of stress in order to lower our stress . The positive thought that prayer brings is a very common trigger of these chemicals which behave exactly like drugs.

So basically, you felt better because you were high.

Basically you are asking the “First Cause” question, which is “Who made God?” If you say that God has always existed, then why not just skip that step and say the universe has always existed? Adding a God to the equation does not answer anything. All it does is prevent us for looking for answers by saying “God did it”.

We now know much of how we got here. Basically all the energy that makes up everything in the universe has always existed, and existed before time itself. Obviously anything that existed before time would not have a beginning, because “beginning” only applies once you enter the dimension of time.

This energy, since time began, simply changes from one form to another. It is in a constant state of transformation. Another word for this “transformation” is “evolution”. The energy evolves from one state to another, filtered through a series of natural laws that were set in place at the big bang.

During the journey of this energy in its transformation from one form into another, this energy, guided by the natural laws of the universe, formed us. When we die, this energy will disperse into the universe and go on to be transformed into other things. We are nothing more than a particular collection of energy that happens to occupy this particular space during this particularity time.

And they are fascinating to watch. Their culture and beliefs are interesting to examine, but they are so bizarre and alien to me that I no longer feel as though I am of the same species.

And this detachment is making me care less and less about what happens to them. It makes me not want to get involved. To leave them to their own fate.

It is so much easier to do nothing. I know I can’t be the only one to feel this way. Perhaps this is why so many of you do nothing.

The most vile word on the planet should be reserved for the most hated people, and the most hated people in America are atheist. No single group is subject to the same amount of prejudice, hate, and bias. Atheist are, indeed, the new niggers.

As for my personal beliefs, I don’t have any. I do not deal in “beliefs” because I find this concept flawed. Instead, I base my world view on “probability”. That is, I look at a subject, research as much evidence as I can for that subject, and from that evidence I reason what is more probable to be true than not. If I receive better evidence than the evidence I already posses, I immediately change my view.

I also only “believe” something by the amount of evidence there is for it. If the evidence says something is 70% probable to be true, then I only believe it 70%. People have a very hard time with this type of “belief” because they do not understand that it does not have to be all or nothing. You do not have to believe something 100% or 0%. There are infinite shades of gray in between, and I believe only as much as there is evidence to support it.

I only use the word “Belief” or “Believe” because it’s shorter and easier to write then saying,”more probable to be true then not”.

With that said, I feel it is probable that through cause and effect, which began 14.5 billion years ago at the big bang, a series of chain reactions occurred through the natural laws of the universe that eventually led to life on earth. Random mutations, filtered by natural selection, caused that which is best suited to survive in its environment to replicate and live on, and those that couldn’t survive died out.

I have seen no evidence for a God, though should any evidence arise, I am open to it.

I believe that while the cult of Christianity and other religions were necessary for human evolution, these concepts are now outdated and are harmful to our society. It is not a good thing to have 4 out of every 5 people on earth involved in some kind of cult where they teach Fairy Tales to their kids.

I see with my own eyes that where you are born is the single most important factor in which cult you will belong to. If you are born in Iraq you have a 99% chance of being in the Muslim cult and if you are born in America you have about an 80% chance of being in the Christian cult.

I was a Christian for 32 years, so I understand very well what the Christian mythology is. I find the bible one of the most awful books ever written. It supports slavery, human sacrifices, infanticide, genocide, rape, torture, and any other vile thing the mind can imagine.

I believe Christianity is the largest terrorist organization in the world. It teaches children, from birth, that if they do not submit they will be tortured for eternity. This is the very definition of terrorism. In fact, most Christians are so terrified of the thought of being tortured forever that they are afraid to even question the bullshit they have been told.

I believe Christianity is evil and leads to evil behavior. For example, we took a trillion dollars that could have ended world hunger and given health care to every American, saving countless numbers of lives, and instead we used it to kill a million Iraqis. A nation of 80% Christians did this.

I also reason that the best way to stop this is to stand up to it and try to change things. I have experimented with many ways of engaging this problem. I have tried reasoned debate with Christians, as well as education. In the end, the method I found that works the best is mockery. Making fun of cult members is much more effective than trying to reason with them.

It does polarize, but I’m mainly going after your children. Children are very responsive to mockery. No kid wants to be on the same side as the laughing stocks. So by painting your side as Fairy Tale believing idiots (which they are) me and my ilk are causing your children to be embarrassed by Christianity. They are embarrassed of you for being Christians.

It also makes Atheism cool (which it is). Christianity is a very dorky cult, while Atheism provides not only freedom and fun, but it is backed up by all the Science. It’s a win/win for my side.

It is this mentality which often prompts them to ask me the question “What does Atheism have to offer over Christianity?”  As if  the fact that your belief is “true” is not all the benefit you should need. A part of me hates to even answer this question, because it is so ridiculous. The only thing a logical mind should need is “truth”. No other rewards need be granted by a certain idea other than its probability.

However, I am going to answer this question for the simple reason that I have a very good answer for it. Atheism offers so much over Christianity. Right off the bat, Atheism offers you a reality where no one ever need be tortured for all eternity. No one need to suffer in brutal agony that never, ever ends no matter what. Isn’t that great?! Of course it is; and if you don’t think that it’s great, then you are a psychopath. Because only a psychopath would want another person to be tortured forever and ever, and if you’re not a psychopath, the fact that it’s not actually true should make you very, VERY happy!

Atheism also eliminates your sins better than Jesus ever dreamed of. Atheism immediately washes away every “sin” you have ever committed in the past, and every “sin” you will ever commit in the future. And with that wonderful gift, it also takes away all of your shame. No longer do you have to be ashamed of who you are! No longer do you have to feel guilty for every little thing you do or say or think!

There is a curious guy on Twitter who calls himself Kat24k. He spends a great deal of his time tweeting Bible verses. I’m not sure what this guy does for a living, but whatever it is, he has plenty of time to copy and paste Bible verses all day long, every day. I have NO idea who he is tweeting to. Surely there can’t be anyone who wants to sit there and look at this guy’s Bible verse tweets all day. I mean if they did, why not just read the Bible themselves? But anyway, he is constantly telling me that I need to “repent”. That if I will just ask this magical sky wizard for forgiveness, then I won’t have to be tortured for eternity.

In fact, today he comes on my blog and leaves this comment:

Isn’t that creepy? Like I need this motherfucker’s forgiveness for anything. This guy literally believes that a magical ghost called “the holy ghost” talks to him about me. In fact, when asked why he believes the Bible is true, he responded it was because the ghost told him it was true. This is clearly bat shit, bonkers crazy and the fact that MOST of the American public doesn’t see this type of thing as bat shit crazy is measure for alarm.

My response to Kat24k was this.

“Hey Kat,

I’m sure you’re a “nice” dude in real life (you know, despite the fact that you support torture and the horrible acts of the God of the bible) but I just don’t understand how a sane, rational human being can not think a magical ghosts talking to them is bat shit crazy.

I don’t require forgiveness for anything. I haven’t done anything wrong. I’m sorry that you feel like such a loser that you need someone to forgive you for just being human, but I don’t feel that way. I am what I am and I am unashamed.

Fuck anyone who tells me I should be ashamed of who I am, and that includes you my friend.”

And that’s the way I truly feel. I’ve made mistakes in my life just like anyone else, but they weren’t because I was born flawed and sinful. I made them because as a human being I have limited information, and when you don’t have all the information, you often do retarded things. But those retarded things are just a part of who I am. I own every mistake I’ve ever made. Every one of those mistakes is part of me. They are not something I am ashamed of because they ARE me. To be ashamed of them I would have to be ashamed of who I am. And I’m not ashamed of who I am. At all.

So another huge benefit of Atheism is a greater appreciation for yourself. You no longer have to be ashamed of yourself. You no longer have to feel guilty about who you are. Believe me, it’s such a beautiful thing to truly be guilt free.

There are so many more benefits to Atheism that I’ll have to write future blog entries just to keep this one from getting too long. Perhaps some of you could list your own “benefits”  in the comments. However, I want to end with this, many Christians seem to hang on to Christianity merely for the “benefit” of having an afterlife. The fear of death is just so great that they refuse to believe this life is it for them. It is just too hard to accept. So instead of accepting this, they choose to believe in things that, deep down inside, they really know are probably bullshit.

But here is the thing. Atheism does NOT take away the afterlife. You can’t take away something that was never there to begin with. And if their IS an afterlife, then being an Atheist doesn’t take it away in that case either. It’ll still be there when you die regardless of whether you were an Atheist or not.

You can also be an Atheist and hope for an afterlife. Shit, I hope like CRAZY that there is an afterlife. I hope I’m like God in it and can do all the shit I wanted to do in this life but never got the chance. That would be awesome. I hope for that shit worse than I hope I win the lottery next week.

But there is a big difference between hope and faith. Hope all you want. Hope is great. Hope keeps me going. Hope is healthy. But when your hope turns into delusions of “belief”, you are not really being benefited by it.

Christians are so silly. It’s 2009 and they are still denying the fact of evolution. Yes, I know it’s just a “theory”. So is “gravity” you fucktards. It’s bizarre that science can eliminate most of the world’s diseases, double each of our life expectancies, and give us technology that is practically indistinguishable from magic; and yet Christians still claim that scientists don’t know what the fuck they are talking about.

There comes a point when you just have to stop humoring these delusional motherfuckers and just start mocking them as the retards they truly are. So this is yet another vid aimed at mocking the Jesus out of my fellow man. I hope you all enjoy it.
